Description	Our client based in Humansdorp is currently looking to employ a Construction Manager. Timeline: Want to appoint someone in January 2025. Contract: Contract position for 8 months â project dependent, will be extended if project takes longer. Responsibilities: Establishing Construction Plan and Milestones (50%). Oversee contracting and management of contractors and sub-contractors (30%). Budget Management and Quality Assurance (10%). Risk Management (5%). Project Close Out (5%). Requirements: BSc Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or Related Field. Minimum of 10 Years experience in the built environment industry. Proven working experience in construction management. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulation and quality standards. Understanding of all facets of the construction process. Familiarity with construction management software packages. Ability to plan and see the âbig pictureâ. Competent in conflict and crises management. Leadership and human resources management skills. Excellent project and time management skills. Good understanding of working with project budgets, forecasts and reports. High level of stress tolerance and ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
