Branch Manager (Electrical Wholesale)

Description Our client, a leader in the Wholesale Electrical Supply, to both the industrial and domestic markets; is currently looking to employ an experienced Branch Manager based in Port Elizabeth. 

5+ years of management experience in electrical wholesale, distribution, or contracting environment secures!

Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous, viz. Electrician, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of management experience in electrical wholesale, distribution, or contracting environment.
  • Solid technical knowledge of electrical products and industry regulations (SANS, IEC, OHS).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and profitability targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans or English.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:

1.  Leadership & Team Management:

  • Recruit, develop and coach branch staff: sales representatives, warehouse personnel, and admin support.
  • Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture.
2.  Sales & Business Development:
  • Develop and execute branch sales plans to achieve or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities in construction, manufacturing, and maintenance sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts—electrical contractors, engineers, and facility managers.
3.  Operations & Inventory Control:
  • Oversee inventory planning and stock levels to minimize stockouts and excess.
  • Coordinate with central procurement to ensure timely delivery of high-demand products.
  • Implement efficient warehousing, dispatch, and logistics processes to optimize order fulfilment.
4.  Customer Service & Compliance:
  • Ensure all sales and service activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Conduct regular site visits to key customers to gather feedback and identify improvement opportunities.
