Wage & Finance Administrator – Fishing Industry

Description Our client in the Fishing industry is currently looking to employ Wage / Finance Administrator – Fishing Industry, based in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:
  • Matric essential.
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance highly advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar industry.
  • Experience in Pastel essential.
 
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
  • Compile the fishing vessel crew wage sheets and payslips.
  • Draw docking day subs and hand over to the 1st office for pay out once offloading is complete.
  • Update the EMP 501 schedule to ensure PAYE, UIF and SDL are reconciled and paid.
  • Ensure retainers are paid on the 25 of each month by compiling payslips and sending to Head office timeously.
  • Track Squid cost for stock valuations.
  • Help with reconciling advances.
  • Ensure creditors' invoices are correct when requested by finance.
  • Review attendance registers before submitting to Finance for payment.
