Description	Our client in Retail industry is currently looking to employ a Accountant based in Port Elizabeth. Salary: R 20 000 CTC monthly A wonderful career opportunity awaits you. Requirements: Matric Certificate. Finance / Accounting Tertiary Qualification. At least 3 Years’ Accounting / Bookkeeping experience. At least 3 years’ experience with SARS e-filing and compliance. Experience with VAT, EMP201’s, EMP501’s. Pastel experience non-negotiable. Retail Point of Sale experience advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to: Full accounting functions to Trial Balance, for two companies (retail and wholesale). Complete weekly, monthly sales report. Ensure collection of few debtors sales. Ensure debtors are creditworthy. Suppliers Recons. Payroll. Review Creditors Clerks’ supplier’s recons. Load creditors and/or sundry payments on bank and/or check creditors payments. Ensure creditors get paid timeously to utilise discount. Cash Book and Banking. Process the cashbook payments and receipts accurately in Pastel Evolution. Reconcile cashbook to bank statement daily. Weekly cash forecast of creditors that must get paid. Submit EMP201’S monthly and EMP501’S twice a year. Audits, Stock Counts and Monthly Management accounts. Prepare Pastel set of books to trial balance each month and prepare Management Account(s) and VAT returns for review. Reconcile all accounts by month end and meet deadlines for Management Accounts deadlines. Assist auditors on yearly audit. Reconcile and balance related parties’ loan accounts. Complete Insurance claims. Always interact honestly, openly and timeously with management with regards to this important position.
