Logistics Allocator (Seasonal Contract) – Port Elizabeth

Description Our client in the Agricultural Industry based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ a Logistics Allocator (Seasonal Contract).

Fixed Term Contract – 6 months

Requirements:
  • Computer Literate (Word / Excel (intermediate level) / Outlook).        
  • Knowledge of Iroot for allocating pallets, bookings, day to day processing and reports is advantageous.
  • Relevant experience in the fruit export industry.        
  • Intermediate numerical abilities (calculations and numerical reasoning, reconciliations).
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Bookings:                                                                                                                                                  
  • Bookings creation/cancellation and follow up for Specific market.
Allocating and managing stock:
  • Allocating of stock as supplied by senior controller.               
  • Sending out loading instruction.
  • Pull, validate and the distribution of BC packing lists.
Risk Report analyses:
  • Unallocated stock - age risk.        
  • Allocated stock - age risk.        
  • Depot Capacity.
  • Weight Restrictions - CA/UK and Cypris.        
  • Temperature Check.        
  • Missing Receivers.
  • Ship Agent - Ambient Loads.                       
  • Packing List Check.        
  • Stock in transit.
  • Stock on floor.
  • Allocated no vessel.
  • Containers in TSP.        
  • Containers in POD.        
  • Plug ins.
  • Saudi Check.
Invoicing:
  • Approval and querying invoices - Freight/Cold store/Transport/Go Reefers.
General:
  • Support to other departments in logistical queries.
  • Operational analyses.
  • Deviation Tracking.
  • Documentation tracking.
