Description	Our client, operating in the Manufacturing Industry (OEM), is looking to employ an experienced Quality Specialist to their dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. An awesome career opportunity awaits. Requirements: Matric / Grade 12- essential. Certificate in Quality Assurance - advantageous. Green belt. Diploma preferred. Minimum of 3 years in OEM environment. Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment. Basic Understanding a specific focus on Lead Acid Batteries. Responsibilities, but not limited to: 1. Orders / Reports: Ensuring compliance with applicable industry quality standards, including IATF 16949. Assists in the development of procedures to support and implement quality systems applicable to a single site, Develops action plans for improving products, services and processes (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Poke-Yoke). Ensures implementation of continuous improvement action plans. Performs verification/validation of implemented improvements. Performs plant audits (e.g. Process to VDA 6.3, Layered Process Audits, System audits etc.). Analyses of audit findings in terms of root cause identification and subsequent corrective and systemic actions implemented. 2. Product Specification: Verify that the labels fitted matches the Assembly Code and Product.(BOM) If any deviation has been raised for the product processed, ensure that the Official Deviation has been initiated and approved by the (Technical Executive.) 3. Inspections: Check for aesthetic damage of the battery casing, cover, Battery Code and the Battery posts. Ensure that all products with aesthetic damage have been quarantined and communicated to the relevant Departments. 4. Quality Checks: Checks on all batteries to ensure compliance to Customer Specifications. Ensure that where applicable, Specific Customer Requirements in terms of BOM requirements and packaging requirements (Bill of Material.)
