Description Our client, operating in the Financial Services space and based in Pretoria (Menlo Park), is currently looking to employ an experienced Financial Accountant (SAIPA) to join their young and dynamic team.

Reporting to the FD and the CEO.

An great career opportunity awaits a aspiring young SAIPA accountant.

Requirements:
  • Microsoft Office skills – Outlook and Excel (advanced).
  • 3 Years’ SAIPA/SAICA articles.
  • BCom Accounting or BCom Financial Management (completed).
  • Sage Pastel Partner skills (advanced).
  • ACPAS skills (advantageous).
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Bi-lingual (Afrikaans and English).
  • Willingness to Learn: Ongoing education and training in your field is the hallmark of a good Accountant. You must stay up to date on the latest trends and information.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Working across multiple data systems.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Good telephone etiquette.
  • Have high energy levels and show a very good tolerance to stress.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willing to work overtime as and when required.
 
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
  • Full accounting function; which includes but is not limited to the following :
  • Monthly bank statement processing on Pastel Partner.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Monthly VAT201 and EMP201 submissions.
  • Bi-Annual EMP501 submissions.
  • PROVTAX calculations.
  • Customer and Supplier invoice capturing.
  • Journal capturing.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.
