Our client, a market leader in their field, is seeking to employ an experienced vinyl, signage, and / or graphics Key Accounts Sales Specialist at their Johannesburg operation.
Minimum of 7 years in external field sales within the vinyl, signage, or graphics industry secures!
The incumbent will be responsible for daily engagement with existing customers and sourcing new business through strategic relationships with distributors, converters, and end users. This role focuses on demand creation, expanding market share, and promoting the product portfolio through exceptional service delivery and technical support.
The specialist will ensure sustainable growth by identifying new opportunities, enhancing brand visibility, and fostering long-term customer loyalty across a national network.
Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric Certificate).

Diploma in Sales or Marketing, or an equivalent qualification.

Advanced knowledge of digital print and self-adhesive vinyl materials.

Ability to specify materials for complex visual communication applications.

Understanding of municipal and government tender processes.

Experience in strategic planning and project execution.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

High business acumen and negotiation abilities.

Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, CRM platforms).

Key Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Sales and Market Engagement:

Conduct detailed needs analyses to meet or exceed sales targets across end-users, converters, and distribution partners.

Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives that drive business growth and demand creation.

Build and maintain a robust project pipeline with accurate forecasting.

Pursue new sales opportunities to increase market share and regional presence.
-
Perform a minimum of four customer-facing interactions daily.

Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in industries such as signage, advertising, architecture and automotive.

Collaborate with distributors on product specifications, stock planning, and performance forecasting.

Leverage relationships with architects, engineers and print service providers to promote product specification.

Drive brand specification in large-scale projects, including road signage and corporate identity programs.

Expand distributor and converter engagement with the product portfolio.

Provide input into the sales and operations planning process regarding forecasts and inventory concerns.

Support monthly and quarterly sales forecast planning.
Customer Service and Technical Support:

Deliver product and brand training to distributors, converters, engineers and end-users.
-
Offer technical advice, material recommendations, and on-site support to resolve application issues.

Conduct and support product trials with the technical team.
-
Maintain accurate customer records and project updates using CRM tools.

Respond to customer complaints within 24 hours and ensure resolution with follow-up.

Manage and update customer-specific price lists in line with company policies.

Provide commercial guidance on terms, pricing, rebates, and discounts.

Liaise with finance and customer teams to monitor accounts and ensure timely payments.

Ensure alignment between customer expectations and service delivery.
