Our Client in the Road Freight Industry is seeking to employ a Operations Nighshift Manager to their team based in Goodwood Cape Town.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Transport and Logistics.
• Strong leadership and management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Oversee the entire warehouse operation during the shift, including security management.
• Coordinate and manage nightshift employees to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure timely receiving, checking, and dispatching of all freight during the shift, with proper handover to the next shift supervisor.
• Monitor and report the performance of the security service provider to the Branch Manager.
• Enforce strict adherence to all vehicle loading and offloading procedures during the shift.
• Report and manage all stock damages according to established procedures.
• Ensure that all consignments are sorted correctly and promptly by forklift operators.
• Manage the secure freight area throughout the shift.
• Perform a final physical check on all trailers once collections are completed.
• Ensure manifests and travel authorization documents are accurately completed and managed per procedural requirements.
• Manage the full nightshift team, with support from the Branch Manager and Human Resources.
