Description

Our Client in the Freight and transport Industry is seeking to employ a Branch Manager to their team based in Rocky's Drift, Nelspruit (Mpumalanga).

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric qualification (essential).
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, or related field (advantageous).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics or road freight management in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to manage day-to-day branch or operational activities.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related business software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial performance.
  • Experience in team recruitment, training, and performance management.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring services are delivered on time and cost-effectively.
  • Optimize resources including vehicles, personnel, and equipment.
  • Implement and enforce safety standards to maintain a secure work environment.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and develop logistics staff into a high-performing team.
  • Build a positive work culture that promotes collaboration and accountability.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.

Client Relations

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities.
  • Resolve client concerns promptly and effectively.

Financial Management

  • Develop, monitor, and manage branch budgets to meet financial goals.
  • Track financial performance and identify areas for cost savings.
  • Ensure accurate billing and invoicing processes in collaboration with finance.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to regulations, internal policies, and safety protocols.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to maintain service standards.
  • Conduct audits and reviews to enhance operational efficiency.
