Our Client in the Packaging and Recycling Industry is seeking to employ a SHEQ Assistant to their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Salary: R 14 000 - R 18 000 Monthly - depending on experience. 

Requirements:

• Qualification in Environmental, Health and Safety Management.
• SAMTRAC certification with experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of EHS regulations and policies.
• Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
• Internal Auditor experience in ISO 14000 and ISO 22000.
• Ability to conduct training sessions.
• Proactive, responsible, and reliable.
• Strong communication skills at all levels.
• Good administrative and filing skills.
• Experience in packaging or manufacturing environments (advantageous).
• Fire Certificate (Level 1).
• Basic knowledge of fire risk management.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Knowledge of food safety.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Support compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 22000 standards.
• Conduct Health and Safety induction training on site.
• Maintain electronic and hard copies of SHE documentation requirements.
• Conduct internal SHE audits.
• Conduct and review HIRAs (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments), WSWPs (Workplace Safe Work Procedures), and PJOs (Planned Job Observations).
