Our Client, in the Manufacturing Industry is seeking to employ an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team, based in George (Southern Cape)

Requirements

• National Senior Certificate.

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar purchasing or supply chain role.

• Manufacturing industry experience is beneficial.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.

• Fully bilingual.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate products, suppliers, and services.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.

• Ensure approved purchases are cost-effective and meet quality standards.

• Manage supply chain activities to support operational requirements.

• Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and stock shortages.

• Place purchase orders to replenish merchandise as required.

• Track shipments, receive orders, and address delivery delays.

• Oversee proper storage of products.

• Maintain accurate inventory records of stock items and transactions.

• Coordinate with inventory teams, management, and stockroom staff.

• Generate and manage purchase orders.

• Monitor supplier performance and evaluate supplier offerings.
