Our Client in the Agriculture / Plant Nursery Industry is seeking to employ a Farm Technical Supervisor to join their team based in Uitenhage, Eastern Cape. 

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 (essential)

• Technical trade certificate (advantage)

• 3–5 years farm / technical operations experience

• Proven team supervision experience

• Valid Code 08 / EB driver’s licence

• Electrical fault-finding and repairs

• Farm equipment operation

• IsiXhosa speaker (advantage)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise 5–25 semi-skilled and unskilled workers daily

• Monitor productivity, task completion and worker progress

• Train workers in techniques, safety and equipment use

• Implement disciplinary procedures per company policy

• Allocate tasks and resources efficiently to meet deadlines

• Liaise with other managers and supervisors across departments

• Maintain records of work completed and materials used

• Report on project and team progress to management

• Conduct technical operations & maintenance: electrical, plumbing, pumps, irrigation, bark plant, equipment, machinery, levels and site measurements

• Plan and execute farm development and infrastructure improvements

• Coordinate with external contractors

• Ensure compliance with operational and safety standards
