Description

Our client in the industrial and technology sales industry is looking to employ a Sales Manager to lead their team based in Killarney Gardens, Cape Town.

The Sales Manager will lead, motivate, and manage a sales team to achieve company objectives through effective sales strategies, performance analysis, and customer relationship management. The role ensures that the sales efforts are aligned with overall business strategy and that team productivity and customer satisfaction are maximised.

Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce advantageous

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Sales Management role

  • Proven ability to develop sales strategies, set targets, and analyze performance data

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate level)

  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle

  • Strong leadership, motivational, and team management skills

  • Excellent selling, negotiation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement sales plans and strategies to achieve targets

  • Forecast sales and analyze market trends for decision-making

  • Monitor regional sales performance and adjust strategies as needed

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team

  • Monitor individual and team performance against KPIs

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback

Sales Execution

  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to deal closure

  • Oversee key accounts and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Support the team in closing complex deals when required

Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty

  • Address escalated customer issues promptly and professionally

Reporting and Analysis

  • Generate sales forecasts and reports for senior management

  • Track KPIs including revenue, conversion rates, pipeline health, and customer metrics
