Description

Our Client in the Engineering / Manufacturing Industry is seeking to employ an experienced Sales Executive to their team based in Perseverance, Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business, or related field advantageous

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in marine or boating industry

  • Demonstrated ability in prospecting, relationship management, and account development

  • Experience in proposal writing, presentations, and CRM systems

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Willingness to travel as required

  • Sales, commercial, and financial acumen

Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development (60%)

    • Secure orders from existing and prospective customers through relationship-based approaches.

    • Expand The Company's footprint throughout Africa by growing representative networks.

    • Demonstrate products/services and provide guidance to customers on the best solutions.

    • Develop clear and effective written proposals and quotations for customers.

    • Research, identify, and develop prospective customers in the assigned territory.

    • Plan and execute personal sales strategy to maximize return on time investment.

    • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, management, accounting, logistics, and technical service teams.

    • Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify opportunities and product improvements.

Customer Service and Account Management (20%)

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers.

    • Expedite the resolution of customer problems, complaints, and after-sales inquiries.

    • Provide regular feedback to management on customer needs, market trends, and potential opportunities.

    • Manage and participate in trade shows, conventions, and related promotional events.

Compliance and Reporting (10%)

    • Ensure compliance with company sales policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

    • Provide timely reports to the Commercial Manager on sales performance, customer interactions, and market intelligence.

Continuous Improvement and Strategic Input (10%)

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement in sales activities.

    • Recommend enhancements to products/services based on customer feedback and market analysis.
