Our Client is seeking to employ a Bookkeeper to their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:

• Bookkeeping up to trial balance.
• Must be able to work under pressure and handle high-volume processing.
• PASTEL Partner experience is non-negotiable.
• Must have a high level of computer literacy, including strong Excel and accounting system skills.
• Must have own reliable transport and valid driver's license.
• High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
• Proven experience with Debtors reconciliations and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities and expectations, including but not limited to:

• Manage and process high volumes of financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform Debtors reconciliations and ensure all accounts are balanced and up to date.
• Prepare and process bank reconciliations and assist with bank management functions.
• Capture and maintain financial data on accounting systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in accounts and follow up on outstanding items.
• Ensure all financial records are properly maintained and filed.
• Work closely with management and other departments to support financial operations.
• Meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
