Our client, a well-established, national organization operating within the energy distribution industry, is seeking to employ an experienced Store Floor Supervisor  (2IC to Branch Manager), to join their branch in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong sales ability with a proven track record
  • Attention to detail
  • Product knowledge and ability to interpret catalogues
  • Well-spoken and well-presented (fluent in English)
  • Persuasive, persistent, and results-driven
  • Leadership and team supervision skills

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Branch Operations and Supervision

  • Oversee branch operations in the absence of the Retail Branch Manager
  • Supervise and support sales staff
  • Ensure staff are trained on products and systems
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked store
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages
  • Assist with stock takes and cycle counts
  • Manage IBTs and stock reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures and health and safety standards

Customer Service

  • Greet and assist customers in-store
  • Provide product advice and recommendations
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally
  • Process refunds with authorisation
  • Demonstrate product usage and provide product information
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Sales

  • Drive sales performance and achieve branch targets
  • Manage existing and new customer accounts
  • Handle quotations and sales orders
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Promote products and grow the customer base
  • Minimise lost sales opportunities
  • Maintain merchandising displays

Administration

  • Manage back orders and communicate ETAs
  • Monitor quotations and sales processing
  • Assist with debtor and creditor functions
  • Process GRVs, GRNs, invoices, and credit notes
  • Ensure accurate cash-ups and financial controls
  • Maintain asset register and documentation
  • Handle IBTs and delivery notes
  • Submit required documents to Head Office
  • Manage stationery and general office requirements
  • Maintain attendance registers and assist with HR admin
  • Perform general administrative duties and filing
