Our client, a well-established organisation operating within the material handling and equipment industry, is seeking to employ an experienced Sales and Operations Manager to join their branch based in Nelspruit.

Requirements

• Proven sales track record (minimum 5+ years in a sales leadership role)
• Experience managing a team
• Strong technical understanding (preferably in forklifts, machinery, or equipment)
• Strong administrative and financial mindset
• Excellent computer literacy (Excel, email, reporting systems)
• Valid driver’s license
• Professional, disciplined, and self-driven personality
• Experience in the forklift, material handling, or equipment industry
• Existing customer network in the region
• Experience in branch or business unit management

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Sales Leadership

• Drive new equipment, used equipment, rental, and service sales growth
• Maintain and grow key customer relationships
• Develop and implement branch sales strategies
• Monitor sales performance and ensure targets are achieved
• Lead by example through active involvement in sales activities

Sales Team Management

• Ensure discipline, accountability, and performance culture
• Conduct performance reviews and staff development
• Build a strong, professional team environment

Operations and Technical Coordination

• Understand forklift and material handling equipment operations
• Liaise effectively with workshop and technical teams
• Ensure high service standards and customer satisfaction

Administrative and Financial Control

• Strong control of quotations, costing, margins, and invoicing
• Monitor branch expenses and profitability
• Ensure accurate reporting and record keeping
• Utilize management systems, Excel, and reporting tools effectively

Succession and Leadership Transition

• Work closely with the current Branch Manager
• Learn all operational, financial, and customer aspects of the branch
• Progressively assume greater leadership and sales responsibilities
